Dereham Otters Masters shine at Norfolk Championships

Members of the Dereham Otters Masters team enjoyed an outstanding Norfolk Masters 2026, returning home with an impressive collection of medals and personal achievements.
Leading the way was Megan Summer, who claimed gold in the 100m Freestyle and added bronze medals in both the 50m Freestyle and 50m Butterfly, demonstrating impressive versatility across the competition.
Mark Greenaway also enjoyed a successful meet, winning gold in the 100m Freestyle and collecting bronze medals in the 50m Freestyle, Medley Relay and Freestyle Relay.
Scott Greenaway added to the club's medal tally with silver in the 100m Individual Medley, as well as bronze medals in both relay events. He narrowly missed out on another podium finish, placing fourth in a highly competitive 50m Freestyle field.
Harry Weston played a key role in the club's relay success, helping the team secure bronze medals in both the Medley Relay and Freestyle Relay.
Head coach Sam Watts completed a memorable championship by winning gold in the 50m Butterfly and adding bronze medals in the 50m Freestyle, Medley Relay and Freestyle Relay.
Overall, Dereham Otters Masters Team returned with three gold medals, one silver medal and twelve bronze medals, highlighting the club's strength, commitment and team spirit.
Watts said: “I am extremely proud of every swimmer’s effort, attitude and achievements. These results reflect the hard work being put in at training and provide a strong foundation for future competitions.”
The performances capped an excellent championship for the Dereham-based club and demonstrated the continued growth and success of its Masters programme.
