County Challenge Success for Dereham Otters

Dereham Otters delivered an outstanding performance at last weekend’s County Challenge, with a squad of 20 swimmers producing an excellent team display. The club’s commitment, determination and team spirit throughout the weekend were reflected in an impressive medal haul of 10 gold, 20 silver and 8 bronze medals. Every swimmer played their part, demonstrating the hard work that has gone into training and representing the club with pride.

Club Captain Josh Taylor deserves special recognition for his leadership, encouragement and support of the younger swimmers throughout the competition. His positive influence both in and out of the pool continues to help foster the strong team spirit that is a hallmark of Dereham Otters.

It was also a welcome return to competition for Alister Thompson following the completion of his GCSE examinations. His return provided a real boost for the team, and it was great to see him back racing and contributing to the club’s success.

The County Challenge marked another positive step forward for Dereham Otters, with strong performances across all age groups highlighting the depth and quality within the squad. The club has thanked its coaches, team managers, officials, volunteers and parents for their continued support, while congratulating all 20 swimmers on an excellent weekend of racing. With confidence high, Dereham Otters will now look to build on this momentum in the competitions ahead.
